Some copies have a sticker with the incorrect Category INC14CD, but INC14CDX on the spines and the CDs.

It comes with a different 'finish' of slipcase, this is the 'metallic' one, and it has a slightly different barcode number.

Otherwise exactly the same as the issue with the sticker with mention of the award of 'Best Compilation 2000' in the Ericsson / Muzic Awards (which was held on Thursday the 19th October 2000).

Communicate is the fifth mix album by British DJ duo Sasha & John Digweed. It is the first since 1994 to not be part of the Northern Exposure concept album series. Spin stated that despite a few stellar moments, is ultimately a let-down. Sasha, Digweed, and the 22 featured producers on the album seem to be consciously trying to distance themselves from the predictable synth-heavy melodies, breakdowns, build-ups, and generic motifs of late-'90s trance popularized by Paul Oakenfold that had generated much criticism within the non-trance electronic music community. But, don't take my word for it. See if you like it. I am a massive Sasha & Digweed fan but found this to be fairly disappointing. Spend your money on the global underground albums from the same time instead. Sasha Ibiza and Digweed Sydney are far better reflections of their work. In my opinion of course. Read more. One thing about Sasha & Digweed mix albums, is that they sound as fresh now as they did then, and I can't say that about a lot of electronic music from that era. The level of finesse with equalization and the near perfect track choices bring back the best moments of those crowded hot clubs and the timeless. Well I have to say that upon first listening to this album I was very dissapointed. And to some extent, I still am though I can appreciate it for what it is. Two world class DJ's releasing a double mix cd. I think Sasha worked on the first disc whilst Digweed worked on the second but am not sure about that it sounds that way anyhow.
