Album

Inception: Music from the Motion Picture is the soundtrack to the 2010 film of the same name directed by Christopher Nolan, released under Reprise Records on July 13, 2010. Hans Zimmer scored the film, marking his third collaboration with Nolan following Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. According to Zimmer, the soundtrack for Inception is a very electronic score. Nolan asked Zimmer to compose and finish the score as he was shooting the film. The composer said, He wanted to unleash my imagination. His hypnotic, circling, four-chord groups build into whirlwinds of intensity on the eerie Radical Notion and the hyperkinetic Mombasa. what quantity pressed,,1000 again ? not many copies on ebay or amazon etc
Nnulam
A pressing on black vinyl should be great for this one.

It’s still not confirmed if they’re official reissues, but Inception, for example, looks to be the exact same product as before with the clear vinyl. http://modern-vinyl.com/2015/04/17/inception-dark-knight-now-on-sale-at-amazon/there is no information from the manufacturer that it reissues, because think about it not worth it. This may be an original , which lay many years. In that year, Duft Punk - Tron were on sale for $ 40, they were , and then they were released for sale. Crafty ideas producers. http://modern-vinyl.com/2014/10/14/tron-legacy-soundtrack-in-stock/

I was told by one of the sites that is selling this that their distributor told them that there are literally thousands available for order, so this is definitely a repress, as the original was limited to 1,000.
Hanelynai
TBH I dont really mind whether it is reissue or not as long as I dont have to pay exorbitant price to own this piece.
Yramede
I got my copy of the repress in today and even though it does sound really clear, there is still some cases of surface noise in the quieter moments and in between tracks just like the orignal. I'm pretty sure they used the same stamper as in the original pressing. In fact, by the looks of it after examining closely with detailed photos of the original, it seems they are exact replicas. Also, thank you to everyone in discogs that notified about the repress. I never thought I would have gotten a copy of this.
Very Old Chap
these people trying to make money off the repress look so dumb
Thomand
WOW. Sad, obvious and intentional gouging going on here for a RE. I do hope the new pressing is better than the Og. Sounds like an issue with the lacquers...
Azago
The repress sounds flawless, get it.
Road.to sliver
The repress DOES NOT SOUND CLEAR... jesus, my repress copy sounds fairly awful... especially in the main theme "TIME"
Renthadral
Where did you get your repress from? I ha e bought 3 now, and they all have issues to some extent... It's very frustrating.

They just announced a repressing, you can pre-order it nowhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00447RA9Y/ref=sr_1_1_twi_2_lp__olp?ie=UTF8&qid=1428957294&sr=8-1&keywords=inception+vinyl

Does anyone know if there will ever be a repress of this? In no way am I going to pay $500+ for this. Especially with the faulty pressings with the sound.
Rolorel
Too expensive for a badly pressed vinyl. Lets hope that music on vinyl (MOV) will repress this. You can send your request to them via their facebook page.
Qag
it's crazy, only a chump would pay more than $10 for a record that sounds like this...
Quphagie
great music, spoilt by awful pressings.i bought two copies, each one with kellogs sound - snap, crackle, pop.mine have been through a record cleaning machine several times with little improvement.the vinyl was pressed in CZ, not USA as in the above notes.unreal the prices being asked for this !

Yeah I've heard of similar issues from quite a few people :( Since you've got 2 that have problems, would you be interested in selling one of them at all? Inception has one of my favourite soundtracks of all time, and I've been trying to add this vinyl to my collection for ages! I can't offer the insane prices on ebay, but we could probably make a deal we're both happy with :)
Gavirim
Same here, lots of cracks. I washed the record many times but could not reduce the noise very much. Unfortunately the labels are very cheap and got washed away easily in parts.
lucky kitten
I've also got some crackling noise, but only in the first 5-10 seconds of both intros.Besides that I totally dig it, only thing I regret is to not have bought two LPs, regarding the prices people quote in the meantime.
Direbringer
Did anyone else experience annoying surface noise with this release. I got mine sealed and I assume due to being in a crappy paper sleeve it picked up crackles mostly on the beginning of each side, but also throughout. Wish it was black and heavy vinyl. It looks cool (and sounds great when it's not a quiet moment with the aforementioned noise) , but...:(
Bandiri
Same here - Even after several careful cleanings on a high end record cleaning machine. My guess is that it's to do with the quality of the raw vinyl; I have quite a few Japanese pressings from the 70s that are not 180g but are, with the exception of 3 or 4 very minor ticks, unbelievably quiet and free of surface noise. Theres also the fact that the sides are too long. Maybe it's both. they really should have (as innergrovefood has said) put this out as a double. Actually, I think that even if they'd made a double out of the same same weight and colour as this one, it would still sound much better. The material could be spread out on 4 sides instead of being squashed to make it fit a single record, compromising loudness, dynamics, etc in the process.Yeah it's a shame - the clear vinyl is really one of the nicest clear vinyl pressings I've come across - maybe whoever approved this release was thinking of it more in terms of of a "collector's item", which is to say, that were not thinking about the people who were actually going to want play it, as much as the (arguably larger) demographic who just want it as a souvenir.
Lli
I'm glad it's not just me who has a terrible noise issue. But still, it's sad that this has happened to so many people.
Halloween
I've also got (pretty awful!) surface noise.
Kiutondyl
I have exactly the same problem. Mostly the intros of both sides are extremely crackly. It must be a recurring problem.
