Consider the Lilies is a religious album released by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The album was originally released in 2003. The music in this first album on the choir's new label represents a broad range of musical feeling-from the joyful Rejoice, the Lord is King and Morning Has Broken to the contemplative O Holy Jesus and Pilgrims' Hymn to the fervent affirmations in I Believe in Christ and This Is the Christ. For the Beauty of the Earth John Rutter - 3:21. Charles Gayle. Consider the Lilies. Best known for his ferocious tenor solos, Charles Gayle instead plays alto and piano on this trio outing with bassist Hillard Greene and drummer Jay Rosen. His improvisations on alto are typically blood-curdling although they have their own logic and are slightly more accessible than his usual flights on tenor. Gayle switches to piano for much of Sanctify, sounding thunderous like Cecil Taylor but also hinting at stride piano. Charles Gayle is strange and in some manner even cult figure of nowadays free-jazz movement. There are 6 compositions stated on album's cover, in real just four are presented on CD the last three seem to be a medley. Good, but far not the best Gayle's album, valuable release for his the best one for newcomers though. Consider the Lilies - Linda Nash.
